in 1992 when she was just graduating from high school Amanda Bossard started her education in marine biology atAlaska Pacific University, Anchorage in Alaska. Bossard began her career in the commercial seafood industry in 1999. In that year, she worked as a fisherman on Murat Aritan's 65 foot halibut boat, which was later transformed into a fishing tender. Bossard and Aritan are married now and are working together in claiming their share of their business. They support conservative, profitable management of sustainable seafood resources. Otolith was founded by Philadelphia in the year 2000 by Bella Bossard, now mom to two boys who are aged three and one Bossard. Its name is a sweet reminder of her intimate expertise in fish biology as well as her husband's lengthy involvement with the fishing industry, frequently keeping them apart for 5 months or more as they work towards the environment and financial goals that are a reflection of their individuality and determination to serve their communities wherever they reside.
